third period

(1608 ~ 1613)

Tragic comedy or legendary dramas that tend to compromise and fantasy.

The main works are four tragic comedy or legendary dramas "Pericles, Prince of Tyre", "Cymbeline", "The Winter's Tale", "the Tempest". These works are mostly written in scattered, reunited, and framed. Although still adhering to the ideals of humanism and revealing the dark reality, the resolution of contradictions mainly relies on magic, fantasy, chance coincidence, and accidents, and ends with the promotion of forgiveness, tolerance, compromise, and reconciliation.
